3rd Attempt

This was the first attempt
This was my last attempt

Big difference: So in my first attempt I followed the recipe to the T. My second attempt I made it a bit more like a kabob instead. After talking to a friend, we got together at her house and this is how they came out. We used the same ingredients to make the chicken but added veggies to the skillet and made it more fajitas style. We used regular wraps as the final touch with sour cream and salsa for dipping. This was by far the biggest hit with the family.

2nd Attempt

Okay so I have misplaced my camera...

I followed the same recipe but made just a few changes. I added vegetables to the skewers, cut the chicken in bite sized pieces and cooked them on the grill.

The family liked this version a little better than the original, but they still complained that the meat stuck to the skewers some. I think that wooded ones are not the best choice.

1st Attempt at Recipe

My recipe was for Chicken Sates:

Ingredients:  Chicken, Shallots, Garlic, Brown Sugar, Pepper, Vegetable Oil, Asian Fish Sauce, Chinese Rice Wine and Salt

First Step:
combine all ingredients except the chicken

Second Step:
Add Chicken

Third Step:
Place in a plastic bag, squeeze the air out and marinate for 12-24 hours

Forth Step:
Cook, they recommend using a grill but with the wind blowing I couldn't get the grill to stay lit

Final Step:
Serve and enjoy. I chose to make rice as the side dish.

Recipe

I have decided to cook Chicken Sates which I found on the website Epicurious.

My First Attempt
Ingredients needed: Chicken, Shallots, Garlic, Brown Sugar, Pepper, Vegetable Oil, Asian Fish Sauce, Chinese Rice Wine and Salt

Step One: Add all ingredients except chicken

Step Two: Add the chicken and make sure it's all coated

Step Three: Place in a bag, removing as much air as possible. This will marinate for 12-24 hours

Step Four: Skewer the chicken in preparation for cooking. The recommend cooking on a grill but the wind kept blowing it out so I improvised.

Step 5: Once cooked, serve. I choice to have rice as the side dish.

Step Six: Enjoy!!
